The timeless classic impresses with its wealth of variants.

Oak wood has always been praised for its resilience. This is because this tree species is naturally robust and can withstand the most adverse conditions. Throughout history, oak has quickly become a symbol of strength, endurance and longevity. All these positive attributes can also be easily transferred to oak planks.

Due to the positive properties of the wood, houses and ships in Europe were built from oak for centuries. Even the most beautiful buildings in Venice have been supported by oak columns for more than 500 years. So when you choose oak parquet, you can be sure that you are getting a stable floor covering in your home that you will enjoy for many years to come.

It is not without reason that oak is one of the most popular parquet woods. The golden-brown tone and pronounced grain lend any room a timeless beauty. Although oak parquet is extremely robust, it always looks elegant.

In Germany, oak is the most common tree species after beech. Perfect for us, as we prefer to use regional wood from sustainable, PEFC-certified forestry in the production of our parquet made in Germany. Tough but hearty - parquet made of oak wood

No matter whether the kids are running around the house or the neighbours are coming over for dinner. Parquet made of oak can withstand any stress. Because oak parquet is one of the hardest floors made of European wood. Hardly any other wood has greater strength and elasticity. And although oak parquet is already considered a very hard wood, this can be increased even further, e.g. with our parquet oak Carré from parkettmanufaktur by HARO. There, the top layer is cut across the trunk - also known as end grain in technical jargon.

Is there any colour change in oak parquet over time?

Since wood is a natural product, the colour of parquet changes when exposed to the sun's rays. Light parquet darkens over time, while dark parquet becomes lighter.

Therefore, even the light-coloured oak parquet becomes somewhat darker under long-term UV exposure. With thermally treated woods, however, the colour change is significantly less. Agate oak, for example, is one of the most colour-stable wood floors. Here, the colour hardly changes even after years. Thermo Oak Forte becomes slightly lighter, while Amber Oak darkens slightly.

Oak parquet: a popular floor covering with a diverse character

What types of oak parquet are there?

From amber oak and smoked oak to agate oak and thermo oak to sub-oak, at HARO you will find many other types of oak parquet in addition to the classics. Our oak range also covers almost all formats and sizes: From 4 m special lengths in the manufactory to classic country house planks, ship's flooring or all types of 2-layer strip parquet. Let yourself be inspired and decide according to your individual taste which oak parquet suits your home best.

Amber oak
Parquet made from amber oak comes in warm brown tones. The color spectrum ranges from a cozy light brown to a seductive chocolate brown, as with our trendy rustic country house plank 4V Amber Oak Sauvage. The planks of an amber oak parquet floor only darken slightly.

Smoked oak
We offer smoked oak parquet in a brown to dark brown shade, such as our rustic 4V Smoked Oak Sauvage plank. Our equally rustic 4V Smoked Oak Plank Puro White Sauvage proves that smoked oak is also possible in white.

Agate oak
Whether as Agate Oak Trend ship's flooring or as 4V Agate Oak wideplank, this elegant parquet flooring captivates with its dark brown color. Agate oak is one of the most color-stable wood colors.

Thermo oak
The dark plank 4V Thermo Oak Forte is also extremely color-stable. The thermal treatment makes the already naturally resistant oak wood even more durable.
