Vejle, a town located in the south of Denmark on a fjord bearing the same name, is well-known outside of Denmark for its architectural delights, especially around the town’s harbour. Here, on the outskirts of Vejle, a wonderful single-family home has been built that symbolises our Danish neighbours’ understanding of living.

Vejle is a popular holiday destination in Denmark, which year after year attracts many tourists from Germany as well as from all over Europe. The town’s world-famous landmark, the windmill, rises from a hill located on the southern edge of town and is visible from all directions. Architecture lovers just can’t stop raving about Vejle. After all, great examples of exceptionally beautiful Danish architecture can be seen here: from the floating kayak club to the Fjordenhus (“fjord house”) and Bølgen, an apartment building named for its wave shape.
The single-family home at the address Julianelund 140 is every bit as remarkable as the rest of the town’s architectural gems. Residents enter the house through a large glass-enclosed entryway that features a brick bench in façade stone and a direct view onto a beautiful green area.
Offering a cosy niche to linger in, the typical Danish open-plan kitchen is at the heart of the home and flows into the adjacent stylish living room with all-round glass. For most rooms, the builders selected HARO laminate as the flooring — an understandable decision as the house invites its occupants to spend days constantly alternating between outside and in. This means the floors see heavy wear and tear, something HARO laminate flooring can stand up to. Around 160 square metres of laminate flooring from the Tritty 100 series Oak Elegenza puro in the large format Gran Via were laid. The large format perfectly accentuates the open living atmosphere. And the style’s velvety brown tone enhances the room’s natural ambiance no matter what the time of day.
