For many, New Zealand is the dream destination par excellence. The island nation on the other side of the world draws outdoor enthusiasts in particular with its fantastic natural attractions. High mountains, dream beaches and enormous national parks for backpacking and hiking make a stay in New Zealand a pure nature experience. The South Island is home to the Southern Alps with their peaks of over 3,000 metres, and the southern part of the island is also well known for its spectacular fjords. The city of Queenstown is located to the east of the Alps, directly next to one of the largest fresh-water lakes in New Zealand, Lake Wakatipu. Queenstown is a prime destination for extreme athletes and skiers, and has just over 12,000 inhabitants.

Dream house with luxury HARO oak parquet floors

The architects of Mia Casa, headquartered in Auckland, specialise in exclusive single-family homes. They built Dalefield Home on the edge of Queenstown spread across two spacious storeys with large windows on all sides that offer fantastic views of the lush nature surrounding the house. The architects created the natural charm of the property using a combination of a ceiling design with Oak Carbon Black Plank 1-Strips and a parquet floor brimming with naturalness in brushed Oak Tobacco Grey Sauvage. A total of 190 square metres of this exclusive parquet flooring was laid. A total area of more than 250 square metres of Plank 1-Strips was needed for the ceiling design. The combination of the two types of oak creates a particularly luxurious ambience that is an outstanding match for the green surroundings of the house.
