DIY installation and installation systems

A safe and easy way to reach your goal! Do you love to do home improvement and handyman work?

Then the floating installation system is just perfect. On the following pages you can see just how easy it can be to install a cork floor.

Need a helping hand?
With the right installation system, you can install your new cork floor in next to no time. In this section we provide the most important information on installing your new floor. If you want to include an underfloor heating system or simply be on the safe side, it is a good idea to enlist the help of a professional installer.

DIY installation – Simple and uncomplicated
Enjoy home improvement: Installing a floating cork floor is a challenge that even budding DIY amateurs can master. Professional installers also like to use this system because it's just so quick and simple: The individual boards are angled and/or clicked together, but without being firmly connected to the subfloor or other structural elements.

Good preparation – excellent results
Preparation is everything: When you are installing a floating floor, the subfloor has to be completely even. This ensures that the installed floor will be firm and quiet when walked on, and will stay beautiful for a long time. The easiest way to even out irregularities of the subfloor is to use a self-leveling compound. Then place moisture protection sheeting on the subfloor and you're ready to start installing. Please read and follow the installation instructions. Installation instructions

Easy installation
The actual installation process is really easy with a glueless installation system, especially when you have the detailed instructions that show you step by step how to proceed. Cut to size, connect, finished!
Be careful to leave enough expansion space around perimeter. Otherwise, the floor might buckle later. Small distance spacers between the floor and wall ensure the right distance to the wall. You can simply remove them as soon as you're done.

Finished!
Your new floor is ready for use immediately after installation. All that's missing now is the skirtings. And then you can enjoy the results of your work for years.
