Selsmosen (often also referred to as “Selsmosekvarteret”) is a new residential and urban development area in Høje-Taastrup, west of Copenhagen, directly between the existing residential area of Taastrupgård and the natural areas around Selsmose Lake. The project is part of a larger renovation in Taastrup. Its aim is to enhance what used to be a deprived area through a mixed, green district with cultural and community offerings, and to strengthen the connection between Taastrup Centrum, the Selsmosen nature zone and Taastrupgård.

Ground was broken in April 2024, and a total of 275 homes will be built by 2026, divided into 79 terraced houses with five rooms on two floors and 196 flats of various sizes. There is also commercial rental space for offices, shops and a café on the ground floor around the cultural promenade (“Kulturstrøget”).
The principle is living in green and open surroundings, close to the lake, paths and playgrounds, and with easy access to daycare centres/schools, shopping facilities and the Taastrup railway station. A new home close to the city, but with the advantages of private outdoor space (terrace, balcony or small garden) and a functional floor plan that takes both family life and privacy into account.
HARO Laminate Floor TRITTY 200 Aqua Plank 1-Strip 4V Oak Portland Puro* authentic is being used in a total of 300 homes covering a total area of 20,000 m2, not least due to its high suitability for everyday use and healthy living certification. With its water-resistant surface and high usage class, TRITTY 200 Aqua impresses not only in residential but also in commercial settings. In other words, it’s ideal for floors that need to be made for life with families.
In addition, HARO TRITTY 200 Aqua has also been awarded the Nordic Swan Ecolabel for being particularly healthy for living – an important factor when you consider the health of children and older people. In addition to HARO TRITTY laminate flooring, impact sound insulation from HARO has also been laid over almost 17,000 m2 in order to optimally reduce sound and improve living comfort.
With the Selsmosen district, the community is taking another important step towards actively shaping the living conditions for the people in the greater Copenhagen area and creating sustainably diverse residential districts worth living in. Given the history of the adjacent area, special renting conditions stipulated by the community for private renting apply until 2035 . This is a typical approach for Danish transformation areas in order to support a stable social mix in the long term.
