Tough but hearty - parquet made of oak wood
No matter whether the kids are running around the house or the neighbours are coming over for dinner. Parquet made of oak can withstand any stress. Because oak parquet is one of the hardest floors made of European wood. Hardly any other wood has greater strength and elasticity. And although oak parquet is already considered a very hard wood, this can be increased even further, e.g. with our parquet oak Carré from parkettmanufaktur by HARO. There, the top layer is cut across the trunk - also known as end grain in technical jargon.
Is there any colour change in oak parquet over time?
Since wood is a natural product, the colour of parquet changes when exposed to the sun's rays. Light parquet darkens over time, while dark parquet becomes lighter.
Therefore, even the light-coloured oak parquet becomes somewhat darker under long-term UV exposure. With thermally treated woods, however, the colour change is significantly less. Agate oak, for example, is one of the most colour-stable wood floors. Here, the colour hardly changes even after years. Thermo Oak Forte becomes slightly lighter, while Amber Oak darkens slightly.

Amber oak
Parquet made of amber oak shows itself in warm brown tones. The colour spectrum ranges from a cosy light brown to a seductive chocolate brown, as with our trendy rustic plank 4V Amber Oak Sauvage. The planks of a parquet Amber Oak only darken slightly.
Smoked oak
You will find smoked oak parquet in a brown to dark brown shade, such as our rustic plank 4V Smoked Oak Sauvage. Our rustic plank pattern 4V Smoked Oak Puro White Sauvage proves that smoked oak is also possible in white.
Agate Oak

The dark plank 4V Thermo Oak Forte is also extremely colour-stable. The thermal treatment makes the oak wood, which is already resistant by nature, even more durable.
