popstahl was founded in Berlin in 2009 by two architects, Christian Thommes and Ralf Weißheimer. They see the kitchen as a workshop. popstahl metal furniture is made of 100% steel. The company places clear, timeless design, quality and strength through material purity as its central focus, along with durability and sustainability. The furniture obtains its coloured surface through the powder coating method, which is performed without the use of any solvent. All RAL colours are possible. The special filling of the front gives the steel a full sound and a warm touch and prevents the typical metallic tone. The unique handle in the front colour was developed by the architects. “Silver Touch”, a hot rolled 5 mm stainless steel plate with a structured surface, is particularly suitable as a worktop, but worktops made of concrete, wood, natural stone or artificial stone can also be used.
