You've Got the Questions. HARO's Got the Answers.

Our specialists are often asked the same questions so we thought it might be useful to compile the most frequently asked questions and their answers here for your convenience.

Can HARO flooring help improve the indoor climate?
The wood of your HARO breathes. Every board absorbs moisture across its entire surface releases it again, depending on climatic conditions in the room. A wood floor promotes a balanced indoor climate and compensates for hot cold even if rapid temperature changes occur.

Are there different patterns in which I can lay my HARO Parquet?
HARO Parquet, Laminate and Veneer Flooring installs in many different combinations and patterns. From the classical longstrip over herringbone to your own creative solutions.

Does engineered parquet flooring have a higher quality than solid hardwood flooring?
Even with a solid hardwood floor, only the thin portion located above the tongue and groove can be used as the actual wear layer. Multilayer parquet, in contrast, consists of three layers. Solid precious wood is used for the topmost layer - which has the same thickness as the 'wear layer' of a solid hardwood floor. The bottom layer and the cross-glued middle layer consist of ecologically renewable softwood. Unlike solid hardwood flooring, the stable 3-layer construction and the HARO surface finish safeguard a high dimensional stability and prevent warping, shrinkage and twisting.

Can I lay Haro Parquet over old flooring?
Basically, you can do that: HARO Parquet can be installed as a floating floor over all kinds of floor coverings. Expection: Very old carpeting that needs to be renovated.

What is the difference between laminate floor and parquet?
For parquet, real wood – usually hardwood – is used as the wear layer. The surface of a laminate floor, in contrast, consists of paper which has been impregnated and printed - in most cases with a wood design.

Does an oil-finished surface need more intensive maintenance than other finishes?
No, bioTec® oil/wax-finished HARO Parquet is very easy to clean, either dry or by damp mopping. For added care - or also to remedy minor blemishes - you can use HARO Superwax and HARO Oil Balm from the HARO Floor Care range. (see Service/Care)

How do I maintain oil-finished wood floors?
You can simply clean your bioTec® oil/wax-finished HARO Parquet dry or give it a damp mop. For special care of the wood, we recommend HARO Superwax and HARO Oil Balm from the HARO Floor Care range. (see Service/Care)
